Scott Miller's insurance practice includes coverage analysis, claims investigation, litigation and appeals involving first-party and third-party policies, commercial liability, professional liability and directors and officers' liability coverage, homeowners' insurance, environmental liability and related matters arising under both primary and excess coverage policies. He has represented insurers in declaratory relief and bad faith actions, and has represented insureds in actions involving premises liability, personal injury and property damage, professional malpractice and habitability claims.
While in law school, Scott worked with non-profit organizations on issues regarding business structures, and led a seminar on fiduciary responsibilities of board members of non-profit corporations as part of the Vanderbilt Legal Clinic. He also served as judicial extern for the Honorable Marvin R. Baxter of the Supreme Court of California. Before law school, Scott worked for five years as an accounting and finance analyst for Sony Pictures Entertainment and the Game Show Network.
In his spare time, Scott pursues many interests including hiking, opera, baseball, basketball and spending time with family.
