    Trent is a member of the firm's Labor & Employment practice group, where his focus is on litigation.

    With 20 years of Labor and Employment law practice, Trent has experience in a wide variety of matters. Trent has represented clients in FLSA collective actions, EEO/ADA/FMLA litigation, NLRB proceedings, union avoidance and wage/hour investigations, OSHA and workers' compensation matters, anti-discrimination and unfair labor practice litigation, and grievance arbitration. Trent also has experience providing guidance to human resources and corporate legal partners on employee relations issues.

    Trent received his undergraduate degree (B.A., cum laude, 1991) from Rhodes College and his Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law (J.D., magna cum laude, 1994). While studying at the University of Alabama, Trent was a member of the Order of the Coif and was an author for the Alabama Law Review.

    Trent is a member of the Alabama State Bar. He is admitted in the U.S. District Courts for Alabama and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Trent has been recognized by Chambers USA, received an AV preeminent rating by Martindale Hubbell and has been named in the Best Lawyer's listing since 2010.

    Additionally, Trent is active within his community of Mountain Brook, Alabama. He serves as a deacon, stewardship chair and is a member of the personnel committee for Mountain Brook Baptist Church. He is also a volunteer league commissioner and coach for Mountain Brook Athletics. Trent was chosen to the 2014 class of Children's of Alabama's Committee for the Future, which provides leaders throughout the state opportunities to experience Children's mission so they can share stories of hope and become life-long supporters of the hospital.
