Mr. Jackson is a partner in the firm's General Litigation practice group. Mr. Jackson's practice includes the defense of employers in employment, labor and employer liability disputes; the defense of oil and gas interests in royalty owner class action and general liability claims; the representation of transportation interests (over-the-road and maritime) in all manner of disputes; the defense of financial institutions in commercial litigation and customer disputes; the defense of insurers in bad faith and fraud litigation; the defense of property owners in title disputes and the defense of Fair Credit Reporting Act cases.
Mr. Jackson also has represented one of the largest commercial/mixed use developers in the United States in numerous disputes with contractors, suppliers, purchasers and tenants in state and federal courts and in numerous arbitrations. Mr. Jackson is regularly consulted by lenders and developers concerning compliance with the Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act, Alabama's Lien Statute and Alabama's Condominium Act.
Mr. Jackson has significant experience representing interested parties in Standby Letter of Credit disputes, and regularly advises financial institutions concerning all manner of Standby Letter of Credit issues.
