Biography

Jack L. Lahr is a retired partner in Foley & Lardner LLP's Washington, D.C. office and coordinated its pro bono legal program. Mr. Lahr represented domestic and foreign clients in a wide range of intellectual property, trade regulation and commercial litigation, and has extensive experience in managing complex high-technology litigation and jury trials.

A former adjunct professor of international licensing at Georgetown University Law Center, Mr. Lahr published "Bias and Prejudice Against Foreign Corporations in Patent and Other Technology Jury Trials" (Vol.2 No.4, Federal Circuit Bar Journal, Winter 1992); and he is co-author of An Intellectual Law Primer (Clark-Boardman 2nd Ed., 1982; Macmillan 1st Ed., 1975). He served as a member of the Council of the American Bar Association Administrative Law Section and was chairman of the Administrative Law Judges Committee for four years.

Mr. Lahr is a member of the American Bar Association's sections on litigation, intellectual property, antitrust, and administrative and regulatory law. He is also a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association.

Mr. Lahr is a graduate of the University of Toledo (B.S.M.E., 1956) and the George Washington University School of Law (J.D, with honors, 1963), where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as recent cases editor for the George Washington Law Review. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Virginia.
