Jacob J. Liro is a partner in Wicker Smith's Miami office. He focuses his practice in the areas of construction law, legal malpractice and premises liability claims dealing with negligent security issues. Prior to joining Wicker Smith, he worked for the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, where he was clerk to the General Counsel for the Construction Law and Land Sales and Condominium Regulation Divisions. He also worked for a highly active insurance defense firm in South Miami.
A native of Massachusetts, Jacob graduated from Boston College in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts Philosophy. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami in 2006. During his entire law school career, Jacob was a recipient of the Dean's Academic Merit Scholarship. Admitted to the Florida Bar in 2006, Jacob is an active member of The Florida Bar, American Bar Association, Dade County Bar Association and the international legal fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta.
