Jaime Alvarez, Jr., joined the firm in 2011 and is an associate in the Miami office. He currently focuses his practice in the areas of medical malpractice, premises liability and general civil litigation matters. Prior to joining Wicker Smith, he spent two years with a local firm, handling landlord tenant disputes and commercial litigation.
Born in Tenerife, Spain, Mr. Alvarez graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor from Florida State University in 2009. While in law school, he interned for the Honorable Robert T. Benton of Florida's First District Court of Appeal. He was also a member of the Dean's list in 2007, 2008 and the Spring of 2009.
In 2006, Mr. Alvarez graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Florida International University. He is received the English Honors Award, given to the top 5 graduating English majors.
Admitted to practice in Florida in 2009, Mr. Alvarez is a member of the Florida Bar.
