Jim West is a member of the firm's Governmental Affairs Department. He has represented clients before the Iowa Legislature since 1961. His emphasis has been in the representation of the insurance industry, trade associations, business, and transportation interests. He has combined his legislative practice with general representation of trade associations, and has been active in representing insurance companies before the Iowa Insurance Division. Jim came to the firm in 1959 as a law clerk and has practiced law with the firm since his admission to the bar in 1960.
