| Biography | James C. Graham's practice focuses on bankruptcy and creditors' rights, business and real estate litigation, and professional ethics. He appears regularly before state and federal trial and appellate level courts in a broad range of matters, including bankruptcy reorganizations and litigation (including preference, fraudulent transfer, claims, discharge and stay issues), contract and other business-related disputes, commercial real estate litigation (including foreclosures, landlord/tenant disputes, and valuation litigation), and asset recovery and collections. He also assists clients with acquisitions and dispositions of assets and businesses, and with debt restructurings and workouts. In his 30+ years of practice, he has represented the full spectrum of participants in the commercial arena, including financial institutions and other lenders, debtors and debtors-in-possession, official bankruptcy committees, bankruptcy trustees and plan administrators, general and priority creditors, landlords, tenants, insurers and insureds, attorneys and other professionals, public and private corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, and individuals. Jim authored the bankruptcy section of the Connecticut Bar Association's Lawyers Deskbook, and was listed as one of Connecticut's Super Lawyers 2011. He serves on the CBA's Committee on Professional Ethics, and on the Executive Committee of the CBA's Committee on Commercial Law and Bankruptcy.
