Mr. Crawford formerly co-chaired the Firm's appellate and trial litigation practice group. His practice includes securities litigation; criminal, civil and domestic relations matters; and appellate litigation. Throughout his legal career, Mr. Crawford has spoken and written extensively on issues related to trial and appellate practice. Areas Of Experience Securities Law Mr. Crawford served as counsel for the defendant in an appeal that overturned the sentence imposed for obstructing justice in a securities investigation. He served as counsel for defendants in a class action and an SEC action respectively, involving alleged fraud in the sale of penny stocks. Family Law He acted as counsel for the husband-partner in McCabe v. McCabe, in which the Pennsylvania Supreme Court established the rule for valuing interests in partnerships for equitable distribution. Appellate Practice Mr. Crawford served as counsel for the defendant on appeal in a Third Circuit case finding plain error in the interpretation of the statute governing fraud against the U.S. Customs Service. He acted as counsel for the plaintiffs in an attorney's fee case in the United States Supreme Court.
