James E. "Jim" Swinnen is of counsel at the firm's New Orleans office. After practicing primarily in the areas of insurance defense and admiralty law for 10 years, Jim transitioned into product liability and warranty defense. Since 1993, his practice has focused on the defense of personal injury, property loss and warranty claims involving automobiles, power tools, construction and agricultural equipment and recreational products for numerous manufacturers. Litigation Personal injury, property loss and warranty claims are among the types of claims that Jim has tried. He has represented major manufacturers in both trial and appellate courts in Louisiana.
