James J. Canfield

Mr. Canfield has over 25 years of experience in the areas of commercial/corporate law and finance law, handling a wide array of transactional matters throughout the United States. He has experience in areas of mergers and acquisitions (both equity and asset based), project development and a variety of lending transactions from both the lenders' and borrowers' perspective including asset and formula-based lending, letters of credit facilities and construction financing as well as representing borrowers in project specific non-recourse loans through the commercial mortgage backed securitization market. His experience in general commercial matters include preparing/negotiating commercial leases, distributorship and licensing agreements.
