Since joining Young Conaway, Jim has represented clients in a wide variety of matters before the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, the Delaware Supreme Court, the Court of Chancery and the Superior Court of Delaware. As a member of Young Conaway's Intellectual Property Litigation section, Jim has participated in trademark and trade secret matters, as well as patent litigation involving pharmaceuticals, polymer films, medical and mechanical devices, messaging systems, and skin care products. Jim's practice also includes commercial and corporate litigation, where he has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in actions involving allegations of fraud and breach of fiduciary duty, including in expedited proceedings before the Court of Chancery.
Jim also represents clients on a pro bono basis, including the successful representation of a plaintiff alleging civil rights violations, service as a guardian ad litem before the Family Court, and the successful representation of a Vietnam veteran suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans' Affairs.

Prior Employment
Prior to attending law school, Jim worked as a paralegal in the structured finance and mergers/acquisitions practice groups of two Washington, D.C. law firms.
