| Biography | Jim practiced bankruptcy law for more than twenty-five years in connection with his real estate, corporate and finance practice. Before retirement, Jim headed the firm's bankruptcy and creditors' rights practice. Jim was a Director and President of the Southeastern Bankruptcy Law Institute. He also served as Chair of the Tax and the International Law Sections of the State Bar of Georgia. He has been a speaker at the Southern Federal Tax Institute, the Kentucky Institute of Federal Taxation and other seminars for lawyers and accountants. Jim spent a year at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lille, France studying history as a Fulbright Scholar.
