James V. Maniace

Jim’s practice blends together advice on all aspects of business and corporate law with specialties in the real estate and information technology law areas. In his practice, Jim frequently serves as outside general counsel to companies of all sizes, including closely-held and family-owned companies. He has handled a variety of complex business and real estate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, debt restructuring and refinancing, sales and exchanges of real property including financing. In the information technology law area, Jim has expertise assisting software and other technology vendors in protecting their intellectual property through defense against copyright infringement claims as well as enforcement of software licensing agreements. Jim serves as the Co-Chair of the Real Estate, Land Use & Financing practice and is a member of the firm’s Management Committee.
