Up Close
James was originally trained to be a high school English teacher but decided to change his career path. When he is not practicing law, he loves to spend his time whitewater kayaking, whitewater rafting, rock-climbing and snow skiing. If he weren't an attorney, he would own a whitewater rafting company in Costa Rica. He was a wilderness trip guide and counselor at a summer camp in the Georgian Bay in Ontario, Canada for five years. He says the experience taught him leadership skills, grace under pressure and how to enjoy no-trace camping.
