Jamie L. Edmonson is a director at Bayard. Jamie focuses her practice in the areas of commercial bankruptcy, restructurings, insolvencies, liquidations, representation of debtors, statutory committees, lenders, and asset purchasers.
In her more than 14 years of practice, Jamie has represented public and non-public debtor corporations, secured and unsecured creditors, official committees, trustees, and asset purchasers in bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
Prior to joining Bayard, Jamie practiced in the corporate restructuring practice of one of the largest law firms in the world, where she represented clients in all aspects of the chapter 11 restructuring process. She also has practiced with a bankruptcy boutique firm in Wilmington, Delaware. Her chapter 11 restructuring experience spans information technology, retail, food, energy, construction, real estate, telecommunications, and manufacturing industries. More recently, Jamie worked with a national turnaround firm assisting distressed companies through the chapter 11 process.
Jamie served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Alex Kozinski in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. While attending Loyola Law School, Loyola Marymount University she was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Law Honor Society and earned her J.D. in 1996. Jamie graduated from the American University with a B.S.B.A. in 1990.
