Jan Neuenschwander is of counsel in the Indianapolis, Indiana office of Barnes & Thornburg. She concentrates her practice on securities, corporate and banking matters and is a member of the firm's Corporate Department. She has represented public and private clients in securities and bank regulatory compliance and in corporate and financial institution transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, holding company formations, conversions and de novo bank and thrift formations.
Ms. Neuenschwander received a B.A. in linguistics from U.C.L.A. in 1972 and an M.A. in linguistics from Indiana University-Bloomington in 1980. She received her J.D. cum laude from Northwestern University School of Law in 1983. She has studied in Germany and Switzerland, is fluent in German and familiar with several other languages.
Ms. Neuenschwander has authored a number of articles on securities and banking issues. She is a member of the American, Indiana, and Indianapolis Bar Associations. She is admitted to practice in Indiana.
