Janet is a Partner in the Ottawa Office. She graduated with a BA in History from Queen's University in 1972 and received her LLB in 1975, also from Queen's University. She was called to the Bar of the Province of Ontario in 1977.

Professional Experience
· Acts on behalf of private landowners and developers, municipal governments, crown corporations, non-profit housing corporations, community health corporations, condominium corporations and private landowners and developers.
· Appears before Administrative Tribunals which adjudicate on land related matters, including the Ontario Municipal Board, the Assessment Review Board and the Environmental Review Tribunal. She also appears as Counsel before the Courts on matters relating to her expertise and prosecutes and defends infractions of Bylaws and Provincial and Federal Regulations.
Professional and Community Activities
· Past chair of the Ottawa and Eastern Ontario Municipal Law and Planning Subsection of the Ontario Section of the Canadian Bar Association.
· Serves on the Government Affairs Committee of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA).
· Serves on the Builder Developer Council of the Greater Ottawa Home Builders Association.
