Jason Liu's practice is concentrated in transactional business law, with an emphasis on corporate transactions and taxation. He advises clients on various business-related matters including structuring mergers, acquisitions, sales, partnerships, and federal, state and international tax. Mr. Liu has assisted numerous clients with making voluntary disclosure to the Internal Revenue Service, including those participating in the 2009 Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program and in the 2011 Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Initiative promulgated by the IRS. He has also advised clients on the Foreign Bank Account Reporting compliance issues. As a member of the International/Immigration Practice Group, and a native speaker of Mandarin and Taiwanese, Mr. Liu has also focused his efforts on assisting high networth individuals and entrepreneurs from Asian countries to obtain permanent resident status in the U.S. through the EB-5 program (both qualified business enterprise and regional center).
