Jason is an attorney in the Boston office and practices in the Real Estate Section. He is experienced in representing clients in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions involving leasing, property management, acquisitions and dispositions, lending, and permitting.
Representative Matters
· Represent a California-based Fortune 500 medical care provider in the acquisition and disposition of existing leases and the negotiation of new leases nationally, including California, Missouri, Arkansas, Maryland, Delaware, and Illinois.
· Represent a Massachusetts-based Fortune 500 company as owner, tenant, sublessor, and sublessee of real estate nationally, including office, warehouse, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.
· Developed a comprehensive leasing program for office and industrial properties for a multibillion-dollar Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), including drafting master lease forms for industrial, office, and retail space.
· Assisting and advising a nonprofit organization in the acquisition and rehabilitation of a historic office building for corporate headquarters.
· Represented multiple high-tech manufacturing companies in the negotiation of long-term leases of company headquarters and production facilities.
· Represented a medical software company in the negotiation of a multiple-floor office headquarters lease in downtown Boston.
Jason cofounded the firm's Associate Public Policy Committee. As well, he volunteers at the Lawyers Clearinghouse.
Jason is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Maine. He attended Bowdoin College, where he was awarded the Bertram Louis Smith Jr. Prize for best scholar in his class in English literature, before to transferring to Tufts University, where he received his B.A., summa cum laude (2002). Jason received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law (2005), where he interned with the Office of the General Counsel and volunteered as a juvenile advocate.
