Since 1991, Jaspreet S. Mayall has practiced law at the firm of Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP. A Partner in the Telecommunications Group and Debtor/Creditor Rights and Bankruptcy Group, he provides daily counsel to many master wholesalers and retailers of wireless products and services, handling their agreements and negotiations with their wireless providers. He also counsels these clients on other agreements, retails leases, daily transactions and issues, as well as matters requiring litigation. Known as the go-to person in the local telecommunications industry, wholesalers and retailers of the master carriers have come to count on Mr. Mayall's expertise in helping them to facilitate their businesses.
In addition, Mr. Mayall litigates construction and commercial matters and in bankruptcy proceedings he acts as counsel to trustees, debtors, secured and unsecured creditors. Mr. Mayall has significant experience in Trials and Appeals before New York's State and Federal Courts; is involved in non-judicial workouts; and has expanded his practice over the years to include a unique concentration in the telecommunications industry.
On August 2, 2011, the Appellate Division, Second Department of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, reappointed Mr. Mayall as a member of the Committee on Character and Fitness for the Second, Tenth and Eleventh Judicial Districts, for a second four-year term.
Mr. Mayall was named to the 2010 New York Super Lawyers List. This honor recognizes top attorneys in their respective areas of practice, and only five percent of lawyers in the New York metro area are named to the list. In January 2003, Mr. Mayall was named by Long Island Business News as one of Long Island's 40 Under 40 Rising Stars. A few years ago, the office of the Nassau County Executive recognized him as an Indian American Leader by presenting him with the Nassau County Community Service Award. He continues to give back to his community by donating his time to the South Asian Chamber of Commerce, as a director and also as legal counsel. Mr. Mayall has lectured on construction law issues to the Association of Indians in the Construction Industry. Additionally, he is an active member of the Nassau County Bar Association.
Mr. Mayall earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Hofstra University in 1988 and his Juris Doctorate from the Hofstra University School of Law in 1991. He was inducted into Phi Alpha Delta. He is fluent in Hindi and Punjabi.
He has also achieved the highest professional rating by Martindale Hubbell, which is the result of an extensive confidential review conducted among the legal profession in the community.
