| Biography | Jayne Benz Chipman is a senior associate in the firm's San Francisco office. Ms. Chipman has spent over fifteen years counseling and representing both private and public employers in California, with an emphasis on the public sector and higher educational institutions. Ms. Chipman's practice consists of advising employers in all areas of employment, labor and employment-related higher education law. She regularly counsels employers on hiring, equal employment opportunity, discrimination and harassment, wrongful termination, employee discipline and performance, personnel policies, ADA, FMLA, special education, and Brown Act compliance. She has experience at all levels of the California court system and the district and circuit court levels of the federal court system. (Fukuda v. City of Angels, 20 Cal. 4th 805 (1999)). She also has experience with state and federal administrative agencies including PERB, EEOC, DFEH and the NLRB.
