Jean-Yves Fortin is a partner in the Montréal office and is a member of the firm's Business Solutions and Restructuring Group. Mr. Fortin is a leader in the field of insolvency and restructuring law and advises clients on matters related to corporate reorganizations, foreclosures, bankruptcy, receiverships and loan workout situations. His clients include both debtors and lenders in a variety of insolvency situations. He has been involved in most of the major workouts in insolvency and restructuring in the Montreal region and in Canada for the last 35 years.
Mr. Fortin has received numerous accolades from the legal and insolvency communities, including fellowships and best-lawyer designations. He sits on a variety of boards and advisory committees and is past President of the Insolvency Institute of Canada, past Board Director of the Canadian Insolvency Foundation and a founding member of the International Insolvency Institute.
