Jeanna Rickards Koski is an associate in Caplin & Drysdale's Washington, D.C. office. She joined the firm in 2007. Prior to joining Caplin & Drysdale, Ms. Koski practiced civil litigation in Seattle, Washington. She received both her undergraduate degree and law degree from the University of Washington.

At Caplin & Drysdale, Ms. Koski's practice is focused on both mass tort and financial litigation. She handles a broad range of cases in state and federal courts around the country. Over the course of her career, Ms. Koski has participated in a wide variety of commercial litigation matters on behalf of both individuals and companies in various industries, including finance, casino/gaming, and health care. She has substantial experience in toxic tort litigation and securities litigation.
Since joining the firm in 2007, Ms. Koski has represented individuals, institutional investors and creditors' committees in matters including:
· Securities (10b-5) litigation
· Commercial litigation relating to derivatives
· Toxic tort litigation
· General litigation
· Bankruptcy, fraudulent transfer and creditors' rights litigation
Ms. Koski has briefed complex issues of first impression before federal district courts, bankruptcy courts, and courts of appeals. She has broad experience dealing with standing issues that arise in toxic tort, bankruptcy, and securities fraud cases, including the rights of foreign investors to sue for violations of the United States securities laws.
Recently, she was significantly involved in successfully defeating a summary judgment motion against foreign institutional investors in a securities action in the Southern District of New York. Ms. Koski also has substantial experience dealing with complex Daubert issues involving scientific evidence that arise in both mass tort and individual toxic tort cases, and has been the principal brief writer on numerous Daubert challenges to experts in the federal asbestos MDL.
