Jed advises clients in matters of advocacy and dispute resolution with a particular focus on commercial litigation, professional liability, higher education and employment law. He has worked with a wide variety of clients, ranging from small businesses to multinational corporations to educational institutions.
Jed has acted as counsel in matters before both administrative tribunals and the courts, including the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Divisional Court, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal, and the Landlord and Tenant Board.
He also has extensive experience in resolving disputes prior to litigation, as well as settling numerous cases following mediations, settlement conferences and pre-trials.
Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Jed was both a summer and articling student at the firm. He attended law school at Osgoode Hall Law School where he was a mentor with the Osgoode Hall Mentorship Program and volunteered as duty counsel at Osgoode Hall's Community & Legal Aid Services Programme (CLASP).
Jed has an avid interest in film, philosophy and the sport of fencing. Before pursuing his legal career, he competed in fencing competitions at both the provincial and national level, and was an Ontario provincial champion and three-time winner of the Ontario University Athletics championships. He continues to coach fencing at the University of Toronto.
