Jeffrey Feiner is an associate in our litigation group in Toronto. Mr. Feiner maintains a general litigation practice which includes complex commercial and professional liability cases.
Mr. Feiner's commercial litigation practice includes contractual disputes, banking, education, taxation, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, employment, shareholder disputes and oppression remedies. He has also attended on judicial review applications before the Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal. Mr. Feiner is a member of our Franchise Dispute Group and our Consumer Retail Group, servicing the diverse needs of a number of clients operating in these areas. Mr. Feiner is also a member of our National Class Actions Group and has assisted with the defence of a number of class proceedings, including class proceedings involving product liability, allegations of price-fixing, and an action commenced by airline passengers.
Mr. Feiner's professional liability practice includes advising and representing physicians in a variety of medical malpractice matters before the courts and administrative tribunals.
Mr. Feiner received his BA in Philosophy and Linguistics from McGill University in 2000 and his BCL and LLB from McGill University in 2004. In 2004, Mr. Feiner completed a secondment at the Enforcement Branch of the Ontario Securities Commission. Mr. Feiner was called to the Ontario bar in 2005.
While studying law at McGill University, Mr. Feiner served as president of the Law Students Association. He also was a producer and co-host of a local radio program which discussed current issues in the law. Mr. Feiner maintains his connection with McGill University and is currently Past President of the Toronto Branch of the McGill University Alumni Association.
Mr. Feiner is a member of the Advocates' Society, the Toronto Lawyers Association, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Canadian Bar Association.
