Jeff is an Associate in the firm's Boston office, where he practices in the Corporate & Securities Section and the Energy & Clean Technology Practice, which serves more than 300 clients. Since 2006, the firm's Energy & Clean Technology Practice has completed nearly 220 transactions, including more than 100 since 2009. The Energy & Clean Technology Practice has been ranked #2 nationally among top Clean Technology law firms, according to Watershed Capital Group, and in 2011 the practice was listed as a "Best Law Firm" by U.S. News & World Report, both in Boston and nationally.
Jeff's practice includes counseling emerging-growth companies and venture capital funds in equity and debt financings, corporate transactions, and corporate formation and governance issues as well as advising established companies on securities compliance in private and public offerings. With a particular focus on the clean energy sector, Jeff also advises energy industry clients on developments in clean energy regulatory policies and government incentives at the state and federal levels.
Before joining the firm, Jeff was a policy advisor to a U.S. Senate campaign and also worked on energy policy and government affairs for an environmental advocacy organization. While serving as a John Glenn Fellow during his undergraduate studies, Jeff analyzed international energy and environmental policy with the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C. He also worked to improve the local environment of underserved communities in the Washington, D.C. area, while a student intern at Georgetown's environmental law clinic.
Jeff is admitted to practice in Massachusetts. He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center (2009) and his B.A. from the Ohio State University (2006).
