Mr. Friedman is a member of the firm's Labor and Employment Law and Securities Law practice groups. He has extensive trial, appellate, arbitration and mediation experience. Mr. Friedman has represented senior officers, executives, securities brokers, and branch office managers in a wide range of securities related and employment related matters pending in federal and state courts, appellate courts, arbitration forums, mediations and regulatory proceedings. He has overseen countless arbitrations nationwide involving issues such as alleged fraudulent research, hedge funds, employee stock option plans, concentration of securities utilizing margin, suitability, fraud, misrepresentation and many other issues. He also drafted the briefs in the landmark cases of Shearson/American Express, Inc. v. McMahon and Rodriguez de Quijas v. Shearson/American Express, Inc., wherein the United States Supreme Court rendered enforceable agreements to arbitrate federal securities law and RICO claims.
