Jeff's practice includes corporate counseling, commercial transactions and litigation, bankruptcy and creditors rights, and real estate. Jeff represents clients in the manufacturing, construction and real estate industries, including First American Title Insurance Company, Welty Building Company LLC and Rohrer Corporation. In addition, he serves as counsel for public agencies such as the Akron-Summit County Public Library and the Summit County Port Authority. Jeff is a partner on Brouse McDowell's Creditors' Rights, Real Estate and Pension Investment Committees and served as Managing Partner of the firm from 2004-2011.
Inside Business magazine selected Jeff as one of the region's "Leading Lawyers" from 2008-2010. He was also named an Ohio Super Lawyer from 2008-2012 through a peer- and achievement-based review by Law & Politics Media, Inc. Jeff is is AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated through Martindale-Hubbell.
Professional/Civic Activities
Jeff serves on the board of directors for the Greater Akron Chamber and North Akron Savings Bank. He is a member of the Silver Lake Village Planning Commission and is involved with the Blue Coats, a nonprofit organization supporting safety forces.
Jeff is a member of the Akron, Ohio State, North Carolina and American Bar Associations (Business Law and Practice Management Sections) and was recently elected to The Ohio State Bar Association Board of Governors. He is Past President of the Akron Bar Association, as well as Past President and Life Fellow of the Akron Bar Association Foundation. Jeff is past Chair of the Ohio Supreme Court's Board of Commissioners on Grievances and Discipline and is a member of the 2007 Fellows' Class of the Ohio State Bar Association Foundation. Jeff is a Life Member of the Sixth Circuit Judicial Conference, member of the Commercial Law League of America and the American Bankruptcy Institute.

· Representation of political subdivisions and businesses, both for profit and not for profit, as general counsel.
· Representation of creditors, debtors, trustees and committees in bankruptcy proceedings.
· Representation of real estate developers, homeowners' associations, title insurance underwriters and borrowers in all aspects of real estate (single family, multi-family and commercial), and commercial transactions.
· Consultation, advice and expert testimony on matters of professional responsibility and lawyer discipline.
· Practice routinely includes proceedings in all levels of state and federal courts.
