| Biography | Jeff practices exclusively in the area of business immigration law. For the past eleven years, Jeff has managed the immigration law sections at two AMLaw 100 firms, Testa Hurwitz & Thibeault, and Mintz Levin. He has 17 years of extensive experience representing technology, life science, and entrepreneurial businesses regarding all visa matters, as well as permanent residency applications. Jeff has successfully represented hundreds of scientists seeking Extraordinary Ability, National Interest Waiver, and Outstanding Researcher permanent residence classifications. Jeff is a frequent speaker on business immigration law at national conferences and at many universities across the United States, including Harvard and MIT, and has published three articles on Science magazine's web site regarding green cards for high level scientist. He is a past recipient of the "Pro Bono Attorney of the Year" award from the Political Asylum/Immigrant Representation Project in Boston for his work mentoring other attorneys to assist the Haitian community with applications for Temporary Protected Status following the devastating earthquake in Haiti. Jeff is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and was past chair of the New England chapter. He received his B.A. from Brown University (1983), and his J.D. from Boston University School of Law (1986). |
