Jenai Mehra is an associate in the Indianapolis office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP and a member of the firm's Litigation Department.
Ms. Mehra focuses her practice on commercial litigation, product liability defense, and toxic torts. Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg as an associate, Ms. Mehra was a summer associate in the firm's Indianapolis office and a law clerk in the firm's Litigation Department throughout her final year of law school. During law school, Ms. Mehra served as an intern for Honorable Magistrate Judge Debra McVicker Lynch of the Southern District of Indiana.
Ms. Mehra earned her B.A. cum laude in Communications with a minor in Political Science from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. She earned her J.D. magna cum laude from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis, where she served as President of the Student Bar Association. In addition, Ms. Mehra was the Fellowship Director of the Dean's Tutorial Society and served on the Executive Board of the Indianapolis Bar Association's Law School Division.
While in law school, Ms. Mehra served as an associate justice on the Moot Court Executive Board. She became a member of the Order of the Barristers and was awarded the Mitzi H. Martin Moot Court Award - presented to the top oral advocate for the opening rounds of the Honorable Robert H. Staton Moot Court Competition. Ms. Mehra represented the law school at the national level at the 2010 American Bar Association Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition.
Ms. Mehra is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association and an associate member of the Indianapolis American Inn of Court.
Ms. Mehra is admitted to practice in the state of Indiana and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
