Jennifer A. Devitt is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP. She is a member of the firm's Real Estate Practice. Prior to working for Foley, Ms. Devitt worked as an intern to Chief Justice Shirley S. Abrahamson of the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Ms. Devitt has significant experience in commercial real estate transactions, including leasing, financing, acquisition and sale/leasebacks. She also devotes a significant portion of her practice to New Markets Tax Credits and enhance use leasing transactions as well as the development, financing, and leasing of health care properties.
Ms. Devitt received her law degree from Washington University School of Law where she was elected to the Order of Coif and Order of Barristers and served as executive editor of the Washington University Journal of Law and Policy. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a bachelor's degree in social thought & analysis.
Ms. Devitt is the author of "Illinois' Affordable Housing Planning and Appeal Act: An Indirect Step in the Right Direction," Washington University Journal of Law and Policy, which received the Mary Collier Hitchoch Prize for Writing. She is on the board of directors for the Wisconsin Commercial Real Estate Women and Layton Boulevard West Neighbors.
