Jennifer Briggs Fisher
practices in the areas of white-collar criminal defense, internal corporate investigations, regulatory compliance and complex litigation. Ms. Fisher has represented corporations and individuals in both criminal and civil proceedings, including those involving antitrust offenses, environmental violations, fraudulent practices, government contract disputes and other regulatory investigations. She has experience representing clients as both witnesses and targets in complex government investigations, including preparing clients for interviews and grand jury testimony and responding to grand jury subpoenas for documents and information. Ms. Fisher has also been involved in financial markets litigation involving institutional investors and global investment banking matters. She has written on the subject of the Dodd- Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.
Ms. Fisher is active in pro bono matters and has served as the Pro Bono Coordinator for the firm's San Francisco office. In 2011, Ms. Fisher received the Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award from the United States District Court for the Northern District of California and the Bar Association of San Francisco Volunteer Legal Services Program. She has also served on the Leadership Council of the Bar Association of San Francisco Volunteer Legal Services Program.
Prior to entering law school, Ms. Fisher worked on Capitol Hill as a Legislative Assistant to Congressman Adam Schiff and was the Deputy Finance Director for the congressman's 2000 election campaign. While in Washington, D.C., Ms. Fisher also worked in the office of Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher.
Ms. Fisher is a 2005 graduate of Boston College Law School and a magna cum laude graduate of Boston College. During law school, Ms. Fisher studied at King's College London and worked as a legal research assistant for a British law reform and human rights organization.
