Jennifer C. Baker is a staff attorney in Barnes & Thornburg LLP's Indianapolis office. She is a member of the firm's Environmental Department.
Ms. Baker's principal area of practice focuses on representing businesses and land owners in remediation projects, Brownfields projects, underground storage tank matters, real estate transactions and redevelopment activities. Her practice also includes environmental and cost recovery litigation in both federal and state arenas. Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Ms. Baker's practice included environmental law and assisting employers with OSHA matters.
Ms. Baker received her J.D. with a Certificate in Environmental Law from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College in 1999. During that time, she was a law clerk at the Bonneville Power Administration in Portland, Ore., and a summer national forests program assistant at The Wilderness Society in Washington, D.C. Ms. Baker was a member of Environmental Law from 1997-99 and was elected articles editor in 1998. She was also a member of the Cornelius Honors Society. Ms. Baker received her B.A. in geology and sociology from Bucknell University in 1993, where she was a member of the varsity crew team.
Ms. Baker is a member of the Oregon, Washington, and Indiana State Bar Associations as well as the American Bar Association. She currently serves as newsletter editor for the Environmental Section of the Indiana State Bar Association.
