Jennifer G. Knight is a counsel in the firm's Washington, D.C. office, where she practices in the Torts and Product Risk Management groups. Jennifer's litigation practice involves complex commercial and tort litigation, with a focus on products liability and toxic torts. Her product counseling practice involves advising clients on a wide range of consumer protection issues, including warranties, recalls, and regulatory compliance, including product and food labeling.
Torts
Jennifer's torts practice focuses on class and multi-plaintiff actions, and she has appeared in various state and federal courts across the country. She represents clients from a broad spectrum of industries, including transportation, chemical, and health care, and she has experience on matters ranging from environmental exposures and requests for medical monitoring to products liability to RICO and civil fraud. Jennifer regularly works with scientific and medical experts, including hydrogeologists, toxicologists, and medical doctors. Jennifer is presently actively defending personal injury cases alleging environmental and workplace exposure to chemicals.
Product Risk Management
Jennifer counsels clients on the full range of consumer protection issues with a particular focus on consumer product regulatory compliance. She regularly advises clients on labeling requirements for a variety of products, including chemicals and food contact substances, and on drafting product warranties. She also works with companies to analyze reporting requirements when product issues arise and represents clients before the Consumer Product Safety Commission on consumer product corrective action plans.
Jennifer graduated Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude, from Brandeis University in 1998 with a degree in American Studies and was awarded high honors by the American Studies Department. She graduated Order of the Coif, earning her J.D. magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 2001, where she was a member of the Georgetown Law Journal.
