Biography

Jennifer Hale Eagland represents employers in state and federal courts and before governmental agencies with respect to all aspects of labor and employment law, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and the National Labor Relations Act. Ms. Eagland's practice also focuses on representing, training, and counseling employers on a variety of employment and labor issues, including:

· wage and hour compliance

· fair employment practices

· discrimination and harassment matters

· reductions in force

· plant closings

· restrictive covenant issues

· drafting and negotiating employment and severance agreements

· administration of personnel policies

· litigation avoidance strategies

Ms. Eagland has also co-authored articles on the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FSLA), and Employee "blogs" on the Internet.

Representative Matters

· Successfully represented government contractor in state whistle-blower proceeding

· Conducted internal investigations of employee whistleblower claim and allegations of FDA violation

· Successfully represented state-related and private entities in labor arbitrations

· Successfully represented retail and distribution company and government contractor in wage and hour audits

· Negotiated executive-level employment contracts for financial lending institution

Community Service & Affiliations

Ms. Eagland serves on the President's Advisory Board for Little Flower Catholic High School.
