Jennifer L. Rodburg is a bankruptcy and restructuring partner resident in Fried Frank's New York office. She joined the Firm in 2000 and became a partner in 2008.
Ms. Rodburg has a broad range of experience in advising clients on a variety of bankruptcy and/or restructuring-related matters. Her practice involves all aspects of in-court and out-of-court restructurings of financially distressed businesses, including representations of corporate debtors, official and unofficial creditors' committees and equity committees, significant stakeholders and third-party acquirers.
Among Ms. Rodburg's high-profile representations is her role as lead counsel to Centerbridge Partners LP, Paulson & Co. and affiliates of Blackstone Group in connection with their US$3.925b purchase of Extended Stay Hotels and the hotel chain's subsequent exit from bankruptcy. Other recent representations include the official equity security holders committee of Delphi Corporation and various parties in the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy.
Ms. Rodburg has represented official and unofficial creditors' committees or significant creditors in connection with chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings of, among others, Collins & Aikman, Conseco, Inc., Delta Air Lines, Inc., Globo Comunicacoes e Participacoes S.A., Home Products International, Inc., Intrawest Cayman L.P., James Cable Partners, LP, NTL Incorporated, OOC Apparel, Inc., Oxford Automotive, Inc., Telewest Communications plc and WorldCom Inc.
She has also represented a variety of significant investors, creditors or third-party purchasers in arbitrage and restructuring matters including Centerbridge Partners, LP, CIT Group, Inc., Fidelity Management and Research Co., GoldenTree Asset Management, LP, Goldman, Sachs & Co., Inc., Sean John Clothing, Inc., Third Avenue Management, LLC, Vornado Realty Trust and W.R. Huff Asset Management Co. Her debtor representations in connection with chapter 11 cases include Loews Cineplex Entertainment Corporation.
She was named an "Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyer" in the April 2009 issue of Turnarounds and Workouts.
