Professional Experience
Jerry Berkman has practiced in the area of commercial real estate for more than 40 years. He represented the sole urban renewal redeveloper of Stamford, Connecticut in the construction, financing, and leasing of multitenant office buildings, single-tenant office buildings, a hotel, and a major downtown shopping mall. Jerry has represented the landlord or tenant in hundreds of commercial leases covering several million square feet of space and has represented the developer of thousands of units of multifamily rental housing in the Northeast. He has represented borrowers in construction and long-term loans secured by mortgages on unimproved land, office parks, hotels, office buildings, flex buildings, and multifamily residential dwellings.
