Jerry Gumpel is a partner in the Corporate Practice Group in Sheppard Mullin's Del Mar Heights office. He is the leader of the firm's International Practice Group and a member of the Latin American team.
Areas of Practice
Mr. Gumpel advises clients on corporate and real estate matters. He specializes in cross-border investments and mergers and acquisitions. His clients range from multinational corporations, and financial service providers, to high net worth families and privately held businesses. He advises clients whose businesses span the United States-Mexican border or the U.S. Canadian border and represents United States-based businesses with a multinational presence as well as significant Mexican, Brazilian and South African companies that have invested in the United States. He also represents numerous international clients from Mexico, the United Kingdom, and South Africa, as well as U.S. clients investing abroad.

Represented Zeebo in its financing rounds, neogitation of licensing and distribution agreements, and formation of subsidiaries and joint ventures in Brazil, Mexico, India and China.
Represented Baja Acquisitions Inc. in its acquisition of Fox Studios in Baja California.
Represented Circle Food Products Inc. in its sale of assets to Claridge Companies.
Represented CardTel Technologies Investments S.A.R.L. in its sale for UK payphone operations to NW Spectrum, Ltd.
Represented CardTel Technologies Investments S.A.R.L. in its acquisition of the payphone operations of 3C Communications International, S.A.
Represented CardTel Technologies Investments S.A.R.L. in its acquisitions of assets from Alphyra Group Holdings (UK) Limited and ITG Payphones (UK) Limited.
Represented Spring Window Fashions, LLC in its strategic acquisitions of assets of two window covering manufacturers with facilities in Southern California, Arizona and Mexico.
