Jessica A. Flores is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP where she is a member of the Mechanical & Electromechanical Technologies Practice.
Ms. Flores was a summer associate at Foley, where she assisted attorneys with respect to patent litigation, trade secret issues, and responses to office actions from the USPTO. She also gained experience as a law clerk for the National Science Foundation working for the Office of Inspector General and for the National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum (NAPAWF). At NAPAWF, she helped organize a Congressional Hill briefing on immigration enforcement issues and drafted talking points for Congressional members.
While earning her undergraduate degree, Ms. Flores worked as a reactor operator in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Nuclear Reactor Laboratory, where she was one of only 15 undergraduate students licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to operate the MIT reactor.
Ms. Flores earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the American University Washington College of Law (2011) where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and was a member of the Administrative Law Review. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nuclear science and engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2008).
Ms. Flores is admitted to practice law only in Virginia and is practicing under the supervision of a member of the District of Columbia Bar. She is registered to practice as a patent attorney before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
