| Biography | Jessica Lillesand is the Managing Partner of the Clearwater and St. Petersburg offices of Lillesand and Wolasky, a law firm with West Florida offices in Clearwater and St. Petersburg, and a South Florida office in Miami, Florida. The firm represents disabled children, adults and their families in Social Security/SSI disability claims, Medicaid, Special Needs Trusts, Veteran's Claims, Guardianship and Estate Planning matters. Jessica graduated Cum Laude from Duke University while on academic scholarship. She received her Juris Doctor law degree Magna Cum Laude from the University of Florida College of Law while also on academic scholarship. She spent a year studying International Law at Universiteit Leiden in The Netherlands, and worked on international war crimes trials as an intern at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia at The Hague. At the University of Florida Law School, she received scholastic honors for Legal Writing, Appellate Advocacy, Human Rights, and International Law, and was selected as the Pro Bono Student of the Year. She was a grade-on member of the Florida Journal of International Law, and served four years as an elected member of the Florida Levin Honor Court, and also worked as an extern at the 8th Judicial Circuit Office of the State Attorney. Jessica is an accredited attorney by the Department of Veterans Affairs, and is a member of both the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. (NAELA) and the National Organization of Social Security Claimant's Representatives (NOSSCR). She has just been elected as a 2011 member of Leadership Pinellas, and is the 2011 incoming Chair of the Clearwater Bar's Elder Law Section.
