Background
Jessica Stern is an associate at our Toronto office. Jessica was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2008. She graduated from Queen's University, Faculty of Law, in 2007. Prior to that, Jessica received a Bachelor of Administrative and Commercial Studies from the University of Western Ontario.
Jessica both summered and articled with Borden Ladner Gervais LLP before joining the firm as an associate in 2008.
In 2010, Jessica was seconded to BMO Financial Group as legal counsel in the Investment Funds and Global Asset Management department.

ˇ Prepares offering documents and continuous disclosure documents relating to mutual funds, pooled funds, exchange-traded funds and closed-end investment funds.
ˇ Advises on securities regulatory compliance matters.
ˇ Advises clients with respect to fund reorganizations and mergers and prepares the necessary securityholder material and exemptive applications.
ˇ Advises participants in the securities and financial services industries (including investment fund managers, insurance companies, insurance brokers and mortgage brokerages) on registration/licensing issues and compliance with applicable laws.
