| Biography | Jill's extensive knowledge about employers' rights and obligations combined with her ability to explain complex labor regulations in practical terms make her invaluable to corporate executives and human resource officers concerned about legal issues in the workplace. Jill has over 23 years of in-depth legal experience focused primarily on advising businesses on labor and employment matters. She represents manufacturing companies, Fortune 500 companies, non-profit social service agencies, hospitals, public employers and nation-wide companies staffed by "work-from-home" employees. She has acted as management's advocate in more than 200 labor arbitrations and has successfully argued employment matters in state courts throughout Ohio and in Federal Court. Employers trust her to be responsive to their questions about federal and state labor regulations to help them avoid or minimize potential liabilities. They turn to her as their "go to" labor law attorney because she utilizes her expansive framework about workforce issues to quickly evaluate their concerns and develop relevant solutions to effectively manage all areas of employment law. Jill is skilled at defending companies in civil rights cases from inception to trial. She is a strong appellate advocate for her clients and protects employers' rights. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, and is the Chair of Stark County Bar Association's Labor Law Committee. At DK, she is chairperson of the Firm's Labor and Employment Law Group. Jill frequently provides on-site employee training seminars and lectures to educate management on labor and employment laws. She joined Day Ketterer in 1986 after working with the Columbus City Prosecutor's Office.
