| Biography | Recipient: "Best of the Bar" Award of the Denver Bar Association for Plaintiff's Medical Negligence Law; Kenneth Norman Kripke Lifetime Achievement Award, Colorado Trial Lawyers Association; Trial Lawyer of the Year Award, Medical Malpractice - Colorado; Listed, Best Lawyers in America, 1993 to present. Named: Colorado Super Lawyer, 2006 to present. One of the Top 50 Super Lawyers in Colorado, 2006-2009 and 2011. In 2011, Jim was elected to The Inner Circle of Advocates, an invitation-only group of the best Plaintiff lawyers in the United States. The Inner Circle carefully evaluates experience, reputation, judicial references, and peer evaluations to identify the best 100 trial lawyers in the country. Jim is only the third lawyer from Colorado to be honored with membership in the Inner Circle of Advocates. Jim worked as a Deputy State Public Defender, 1975-1978.
