The Firm finds its roots in the law office of Bengzon Villegas & Zarraga, founded in 1951 by Jose P. Bengzon, a former Secretary of Justice, Presiding Justice of the Philippine Court of Appeals and Associate Justice of the Supreme Court. Today, the firm now known as JGLaw or Jimenez Gonzales Bello Valdez Caluya & Fernandez is one of the leading law firms in the Philippines.
