JoLynn M. Pollard is a partner in the Los Angeles office whose practice includes insurance litigation, products liability litigation, professional liability litigation and labor and employment litigation. Ms. Pollard has extensive trial experience in these areas, as well as extensive experience in all forms of alternative dispute resolution including arbitration and mediation. She has completed trials in the insurance coverage area, employment discrimination/wrongful termination area and products and premises liability area.
Ms. Pollard also counsels small businesses in commercial, contract and insurance matters. She negotiates contracts, undertakes collections and advises on business structure and marketing.
Ms. Pollard is admitted to practice in all California state and federal courts, as well as the District of Columbia. She has been admitted pro hac vice in Arizona, Nevada, Illinois and Wisconsin.
JoLynn M. Pollard received her B.S. from California State University, Northridge in 1985, and her J.D. from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1988. Dean's List. Phi Alpha Delta. Recipient: Eugene McGeorge Scholarship; Philomena Scalora Scholarship; Academic Achievement Scholarship. Member, 1986-1987 and Comment Editor, 1987-1988, Pacific Law Journal. She practiced for six years in the Los Angeles office of Lord, Bissell & Brook, and for six years in the Los Angeles offices of Long & Levit and Gordon & Rees.
Ms. Pollard tried two lengthy environmental insurance coverage cases involving multiple parties and sites. The first, Imcera Group v. Liberty Mutual, involved significant issues and resulted in a favorable ruling for her clients. The second trial was a two-week bench trial also involving multiple sites for which coverage for pollution clean-up costs was sought.
Ms. Pollard is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Women Lawyer's Association of Los Angeles.
