Joanna Rosengarten is counsel in our Environmental Group in Toronto and is involved in a broad range of environmental legal matters.
Ms. Rosengarten regularly advises clients on compliance with existing and proposed environmental legislation, environmental permitting issues, federal and provincial environmental assessments, and the rehabilitation and redevelopment of contaminated sites. She is also involved in corporate transactions and projects involving environmental issues, including conducting and coordinating due diligence audits and negotiating and drafting contracts related to environmental matters.
Ms. Rosengarten is an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where she teaches a class on environmental law. She was ranked as a 'Lawyer to Watch' in environment law in a recent edition ofChambers Global: The World's Leading Lawyers.
Ms. Rosengarten received a B.Sc. (Hons.) from Queen's University and a JD from the University of Toronto. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2004.
Ms. Rosengarten is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian Bar Association.
