Joanna Rosengarten is counsel in our Environmental Group in Toronto and is involved in a broad range of environmental legal matters.
Ms. Rosengarten regularly advises clients on compliance with existing and proposed environmental legislation, environmental permitting issues, federal and provincial environmental assessments, and the rehabilitation and redevelopment of contaminated sites. Ms. Rosengarten is also involved in corporate transactions and projects involving environmental issues, including conducting and coordinating due diligence audits and negotiating and drafting contracts related to environmental matters.
Ms. Rosengarten is ranked as a 'Lawyer to Watch' in environment law in the most recent edition of Chambers Global: The World's Leading Lawyers.
Ms. Rosengarten received a B.Sc. (Hons.) from Queen's University and a JD from the University of Toronto. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2004.
Ms. Rosengarten is an active member of the Environmental Law Section Executive of the Ontario Bar Association, and a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian Bar Association. Ms. Rosengarten participates in the firm's Climate Change Initiative.
