Joanne Foot has recently joined as a partner in the Financial Services and Insolvency Group of Miller Thomson in Toronto. Joanne's practice focuses on all aspects of transactional lending work and various related matters including regulation of financial institutions, derivatives and synthetic structures. Joanne has extensive experience advising and representing, on an on-going basis, Schedule 1, 2 and 3 banks and other financial institutions in single-lender and multi-lender financing transactions featuring cross-border structures, involving multiple borrowers, multiple currencies, multiple jurisdictions, minority interests, subordinated or other tiers of debt. In addition she has particular experience in financing transactions involving income funds, borrowers in the power generation, MUSH and media and communications sectors.
