Joeann Walker is an associate in Venable's Commercial Litigation group.
Ms. Walker represents clients in matters involving construction law, complex construction litigation, construction defect, tort and contract claims, and other general business issues. Her practice encompasses all stages of civil litigation, trial work, and arbitration. Ms. Walker has experience with federal and state appellate practice, pre- and post-trial motions, and managing discovery, including organizing voluminous document productions for matters.
Ms. Walker also maintains an active pro bono practice where she has successfully represented clients in Social Security appeals and disability discrimination. Most recently, she was able to obtain a favorable settlement for a client that sued a restaurant for disability discrimination. She is currently representing a client on a racial profiling case.
Activities
Prior to joining Venable, Ms. Walker served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Richard Galway in the New Hampshire Supreme Court.
Ms. Walker has been a member of several bar associations and groups, including the American Bar Association, Women's Bar Association, and the Education Law Association.
