| Additional Bio Details | Joel Williams Law Offices has represented clients since 1983. Joel Williams started practice in rural southeast Georgia as a general practice focusing in trial work. In late 2002 the office began a move to Atlanta to focus in the area of transactional (real estate) practice. Since that time, Joel Williams Law Offices has helped many borrowers, sellers, buyers, lenders, and investors close their loans. We have closed nationally as well as state-wide.
In recent years with the mortgage meltdown, economic recession and declining home values, we have worked to help consumers, investors and lenders in the distressed property market.
We have assisted consumers with their short sales.
We have assisted investors in purchasing short sale and REO (foreclosed, bank owned) properties and offer advice and assistance in Strategic Real Estate Investing and Commercial and Residential Real Estate closings.
We have assisted lenders in closing their REO (foreclosed, bank owned) properties.
We have also provided education to real estate agents, mortgage officers and consumers regarding the legal options in a distressed property environment. Those options can range from loan modification, short sale, deed in lieu, foreclosure, strategic default, bankruptcy, or a combination of options. We counsel on the legal consequences of each option which can be selected by the consumer.
